The 42dB noise score was a good score. It's still a bit more raucous than the cheaper models, but it's far quieter than the earlier refrigerators we've tested that made a lot of noise while running.
Swan has kept the design simple, which is a plus in terms of ease of use. The fridge has an LED bulb and a rotary temperature control. This type of fridge also had a high degree of temperature stability. The top shelf, middle and bottom all offered an average temperature that was within just a couple of degrees either side of the maximum temperature. The salad drawer was a little more variable, oscillating between 5oC and just below freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge requires a few times of manual defrost, but is graded A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it the most energy efficient fridge freezer in our Best Buy chart. It will keep your electricity bills at a minimum.
